How it all began

  • Designing & building is a passion that started with my first home…
  • After each day at the office, I would come home & work on improvements & after renovating a couple homes, it occurred to me that it was so much more rewarding to design & build things with my own hands, than it was to sit in front of a computer screen all day.
  • So I started out building decks & renovating kitchens, bathrooms, etc. for other people, first via word-of-mouth, then other contractors hired me as a sub-contractor & then eventually “Deck Out Your Home” was born.

Why I Do Construction for a Living?

Because I don’t want to work anymore… “Make your job your passion and you will never have to work another day in your life!” I truly enjoy designing and building, as I have been doing so now for years.

However, after working for others who were extremely unorganized, unprepared and unprofessional, it was only a matter of time before I considered it a necessity to control and improve every aspect of my design and construction processes.

About Me

Meet Todd Janzer

I am an inventor and a builder at heart, as I am driven by curiosity which leads to tireless research in my need to find the best products, tools and techniques. And usually after I find them, I end up modifying them for even better results. So through curiosity, patience and persistence, I always find a better way.

When starting my business I quickly realized that so much precious time was wasted figuring
out what tools I had to leave at home & which ones I needed to bring to the job.

This daily frustrating routine led to a tireless search for bigger & better truck toolboxes, which
then resulted in my decision to design & build my own truck toolboxes. It’s the only way I could
manage to stop wasting so much time and to have every tool I needed on my truck at all times!”

Evolution

They worked great and served as the template for the diamond plate aluminum version that I then built & will soon be selling to other contractors. All other truck toolboxes are surprisingly undersized, they are not tall enough nor deep enough, which means you have to place each individual tool needed in a wheel barrow to wheel on to the job site. My truck toolboxes were designed to store the new rolling stackable toolboxes, which enable me to simply remove them, connect them on top of each other & wheel them to the job site as one unit.
